TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA TRAINING

Ellie Cardullo is a registered trauma-sensitive yoga instructor with approximately 1000 hours of trauma-informed yoga training. She has been teaching for 4 years. Since her yoga journey began she has researched how yoga healed her. She wants to bring that healing to others and has done her best to do just that by teaching a type of yoga that heals trauma, anxiety, depression, and all that follows. With yoga, she found safety and acceptance and invites you to join her.

ABOUT

IN THIS TRAINING WE WILL FIRST EXPLORE PERSONAL BELIEFS ABOUT OUR OWN TRAUMAS.

AFTER WE DO OUR PERSONAL WORK, WE ARE MORE CAPABLE OF HOLDING SPACE FOR OTHERS AND MORE ABLE TO SEE OURSELVES WITH GENTLER EYES.

LEARN HOW TO CREATE A SAFE SPACE FOR OTHERS TO EXPLORE THEIR BODIES AND START A JOURNEY OF SELF-ACTUALIZATION AND MINDFULNESS.

DISCUSS APPROPRIATE BOUNDARIES (I.E. TOUCH, PERSONAL SPACE, AND STUDENT/TEACHER RELATIONSHIPS).

EXPLORE THE PHYSICAL EFFECTS TRAUMA HAS ON THE BODY, SPECIFICALLY THE NERVOUS SYSTEM.

UNDERSTAND THE IMPACT TRAUMA HAS ON SOCIETY AND CULTURE AND LOOK DEEPLY AT OUR ATTACHMENTS TO IT AND THE STIGMATISM OF IT.

MOST OF ALL WE WILL ENCOURAGE THE NATURAL RESTORATIVE PROCESS THAT HAPPENS THROUGH THE MAGICAL PRACTICE OF YOGA.

TOUCH ON PRANAYAMA PRACTICE, MEDIATION AND THE IMPACTS THEY HAVE ON TRAUMA.

PRACTICE THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES AND HOW TO INCORPORATE THOSE INTO A TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA CLASS.
